Patra’s Annual Reading Calendar
This second version is the same calendar, but with more textual descriptions and exact genres to try. Hopefully this reading calendar can clarify the literary emphasis of the season!
How to Use These Calendars
Each calendar divides the year into four seasons, each with its own themes:
🍂 AUTUMN (AUGUST – OCTOBER): ADVENTURE, HISTORY & SHADOWS
❄️ WINTER (NOVEMBER – JANUARY): WONDER, MAGIC & ESCAPE
🌷 SPRING (FEBRUARY – APRIL): LOVE, LITERATURE & HISTORY
☀️ SUMMER (MAY – JULY): ROMANCE, CULTURE & SUMMER ESCAPE
Within each season is a flexible pool of genres. These are the genres that we gravitate towards during that season. Each month within the season has a vibe and coordinating genres that we suggest embracing and reading within that month, but any genre within the flexible pool will work at any point in that season!
The beginning and ending of our reading seasons are slightly different than the start and end of the official seasons because we typically find ourselves so excited for the season ahead that we look to read books to match our excitement for what is to come! You can choose your reads according to how you are feeling, too! The calendar is built with flexibility in mind and the goal is purely for inspiration. Read what you want whenever you want and enjoy!
