For us, our busiest air mattress season is the summer time. After dealing with one leaky air mattress after another, we finally said enough is enough! This bed and mattress look luxurious and feel like a real bed, but folds up to store nice and flat and compact!

1. The Guest Bed
Instead of taking a chance on another air mattress, I decided to go a different route. This bed by Zinus, called the SmartBase Zero Assembly Mattress Foundation, was SO easy and quick to put together. No joke. And no tools necessary either. It feels nice and sturdy and has lasted for a little over a year, still going strong!
2. The Mattress
This trifold mattress by Milliard fits perfectly on top of the Zinus bed. I have them both in the full size, and they are the perfect combination! This mattress is the 4″ version, but they also have a 6″ for a little more money.
3. The Mattress Topper
I don’t currently use this, but this cooling mattress topper by KARRISM has gotten rave reviews. It has cooling technology which is nice, and I particularly like how the filling can’t shift around! Everyone says this is super soft and comfortable. I want this for my bed!
4. The Mattress Cover
This mattress cover keeps your mattress like new! It doesn’t feel like the old plastic covers you think of when you hear waterproof. It’s soft, not rubbery at all, and it resists spills like magic! I also love that it is hypoallergenic!
5. The Duvet Insert
This is an Amazon find. The reviews are great, and so is the price! I love all of the down alternatives because even though I love the warmth of down feathers I don’t love how the animals are often treated. Down alternative is just as cozy!
6. The Duvet Cover & Shams
This duvet cover by Amazon Basics is a steal! It has awesome reviews, comes in a huge assortment of colors and patterns to fit anyone’s style, and comes with two sham pillow cases. There is even an option to buy the duvet set along with a sheet set! One stop shopping!
7. The Headboard
If you want your temporary guest bed to look more like a traditional bed then a headboard should do the trick. Zinus offers a lot of different options. These are two of my favorites! They easily attach to the bed and voilà! The perfectly curated, temporary guest bed that will wow your family and friends!
