Delicious And Sweet Homemade Irish Soda Bread

10" cast iron skillet or pan
Ingredients

salted butter, melted

flour

cup
sugar

Tbsp
baking powder

tsp
baking soda
1 ½
cups
raisins, light and dark
1 ¾
cups
buttermilk
2
eggs, beaten
4
Tbsp
sweet butter, cut into small cubes
(unsalted butter)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 10" cast iron skillet or pan with a little butter.
In a large bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients. Then toss in the raisins to coat.
In a medium bowl, whisk the buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter together. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. DO NOT OVER MIX.
Spoon mixture into the greased skillet. Dot with sweet butter. Bake for 45 minutes. Bread is finished when a toothpick comes out clean.
